The K-pop Creator Certificate is designed for creators who want to turn their passion into advanced artistic, professional, and academic credentials. Students immerse themselves in theory, history, and creative fieldwork, working with industry professionals and experiencing authentic K-pop dance. The certificate is registered with the South Korean government and developed by Dr. Chuyun Oh, a pioneer in K-pop dance studies. Upon successful completion, applicants receive a tailored feedback from industry professionals and a recommendation letter sent to job applications, college admissions, or K-pop agencies. Previous certified creators work as K-pop trainees at agencies, teachers, fitness instructors, influencers, competition and scholarship recipients, entrepreneurs, research assistants, lecturers, and have been accepted into prestigious universities and graduate programs.

About the Program

Location and time: June 26–July 24, 2026. Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM–11:30 AM, at Sungkyunkwan University International Summer Semester, Seoul, South Korea.
Modality: Taught in English. A lecture course consisting of weekly fieldwork, including visits to K-pop agencies, broadcasting companies, music video filming sites, dance studios, wine tasting and craft workshops, K-beauty shopping districts, clubs, stage performances, and festivals.
Credits: Counts toward three general education elective credits. Students submit an SKKU transcript to their school registrar. May count toward the major with permission from the student’s department advisor.
